The Navajo National Council has established the Navajo Green Economy Commission, which will overseeĀ monies for green job initiatives. These are funds from state, federal, and private sources that will be made available to the public for projects the commission rules are appropriate.
This is great news, and I whole heartedly support this move by the Navajo Nation. It will not only support environmental improvement, but also add much needed jobs to the reservation economy. More projects like this are sorely needed throughtout northern Arizona in order to protect our environment and invigorate our economies. Read more here.
