Our tour takes us up spectacular Oak Creek Canyon and across the San Francisco Volcanic Field that holds over 600 volcanoes. We then travel across the Navajo reservation to Hopi Land. The Hopi people have a 2000 year history in the southwest.
We start our village tour at Third Mesa and Old Oraibi, the longest continually occupied settlement in North America. You’ll be transported back into history. On Second Mesa, you will enjoy eating at Hopi Cultural Center, a self guided tour of the Hopi Museum and a little shopping. First Mesa has some wonderful views and you will walk through the villages of Hano, Sichomovi, and get a tour of the ancient village of Walpi from a certified Hopi guide.
Visit the potters, the basket makers and kachina carvers. This fully narrated tour includes the geology of the area, Native culture and history, and local area history. This is a true cultural and spiritual experience.
